Our Purpose
Provide opportunity and training to develop professional Medical Assistants to help MPCP serve the community.
Our Program
The Medical Assistant program includes instruction in both clinical procedures and administrative duties. We provide a foundation in ethics and scope of practice as well. Clinical training includes clinical procedures such as EKG, phlebotomy, vital signs. Training also includes instruction on body systems, medical terminology, direct patient care, pharmacology, and patient communication. Administrative training includes electronic health record use, basic front office procedures and concise messaging techniques. We do all this in a focused, 12-week training course designed to accelerate the student into the medical workforce.
