Services
Our providers are board-certified in family practice and internal medicine, with extensive experience in all aspects of primary care. In addition to physicians, we have a large staff of medical assistants, administrative assistants and laboratory assistants. Our practice offers high quality comprehensive medical care to patients age 6 and over, with emphasis on preventive care. We perform minor skin surgeries, such as biopsies, laceration repairs, cryotherapy and mole removal, as well as treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

Call during office hours to schedule appointments. Please allow four to six weeks to schedule complete physical exams. Sick and urgent care is normally available within 24 to 48-hours.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give us 24-hour notice so that we can schedule another patient in your place.
Payment

Payment is expected when services are rendered; this includes co-payments/co-insurance payments for all insurance types, including preferred provider organizations, health maintenance organizations, and Medicare.

We participate with most major health plans. Please call our office to verify that we participate with your insurance. When you come in for a visit we’ll ask you to verify your insurance information to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
Prescriptions

Please allow 48 to 72-hours for processing and completion of prescription refills. To request a refill, you may either have your pharmacy fax a request to (410) 760-6476, or you or your pharmacy may call us at (410) 761-5600. Once authorized, your prescription will be ready for you by 3:00 p.m. on the third business day following the request.

Please allow 48 to 72-hours for processing and completion of your referral request. Referrals are dated the day they are prepared and may not be ?back-dated?. Written referrals may be picked-up at the front desk during regular business hours. To request a referral, you may do so in person , or by calling (410) 761-5600. Should you get voice mail, please dial #4 for the referral line then follow the instructions. Certain insurance companies require a written referral or telephone authorization should you have questions regarding your insurance policy or benefits. If you seek emergency or after-hours care, please refer to your policy manual for direction on how to get those services paid.
Form Completion and/or Requests for Letter Writing

A fee will be charged for completion of forms and/or for letter writing regarding your medical condition. Please contact our office for determination of fees which are based on the complexity of the form and the staff time involved to complete.
Medical Record Releases

Medical records of services rendered at our office remain the property of Maryland Primary Care Physicians. Should you request and/or authorize the release of copies of your medical records, you will need to sign a HIPAA compliant release to begin the process. There are fees involved with obtaining copies of your records. Under Maryland law, record requests for personal use are charged a fee of $0.76 per page plus the cost of actual postage. All other requests (insurance, attorneys, etc.) are subject to a fee that includes $0.76 per page, a preparation fee of $22.88 and the cost of actual postage. An invoice will be sent to the person or entity requesting the records. While we are required by law to have the copied records prepared within 30 days, except in the case of specific circumstances, we will not send the records until we receive payment. Our phones are open Monday-Friday 8:00AM-12:30PM & 1:15PM-4:30PM. Messages are retrieved from voice mail hourly.
After Hours/Weekends

If you have an emergent issue after normal business hours please call our office at (410) 761-5600 for specific instructions of how to take care of your after-hour needs. Our physicians rotate after-hours, weekends and holiday duty so that a doctor will always be available to you. Routine prescription refills and/or narcotic refills are not authorized by after-hours care.
No Show/Late Arrival Policy

EFFECTIVE 11/1/2024 – A grace period of 10 minutes will be permitted for unforeseen delays a patient may encounter while traveling to their appointment. If a patient arrives more than 10 minutes late, they will be asked to reschedule their appointment for a later date.
If a patient does not show for their appointment or contacts the office after their appointment time to cancel will be subject to a NO SHOW FEE.
