Sarah Tsai, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined Maryland Primary Care Physicians, LLC in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing and a Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from George Washington University, School of Nursing.
Sarah’s interest in medicine and the science of healing began in grade school, and it grew stronger as she saw how health issues within her family affected their well-being. Those experiences demonstrated the importance of prevention, education, and compassionate, holistic care.
Her experience as a registered nurse in acute care settings demonstrated how preventative care can make a tremendous difference in patients’ lives. “After spending 11 years caring for patients in the acute care setting, I’ve seen how much chronic conditions and preventable complications can negatively affect people and families. Those experiences inspired me to focus on primary care, where I can help patients stay healthy through prevention, education, and a holistic approach to wellness,” Sarah says.
She describes her care philosophy as, “I believe in providing holistic, preventative care that treats the whole person and empowers patients to take charge of their health… The most rewarding part is seeing patients grow healthier over time, knowing I’ve helped guide them through challenges, celebrated their milestones, and supported their overall well-being.”
Sarah recommends checking out Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis — a beautiful spot for walking, kayaking, or just enjoying nature.
